My approach to working with others is a blend of intuitive soul, heart, and science.  Together, we formulate a vision for where you would like to go, and we discuss where you are now.  It is like using Google Maps – you can enter your destination, but the app must first determine your current location to provide your step-by-step map of directions. 

We also swim upstream together to uncover root causes for your current location – what got you to where you are now.  During this process, we uncover your values and strengths, and collaborate together to design a map with beautiful scenery along the way.  Maps are rarely linear because curves, bumps, and obstacles arise along the way.  That is not only ok – it is expected!  I am with you each step of the way to support you as you navigate these twists and turns, and stay the course.  We’ll leverage your strengths and interests and lifestyle to make the journey enjoyable and return you to a state of energetic confidence – one in which you will grow beyond the need for my support. 

Because my motto is: “My ultimate goal is to coach myself out of a job!”  The skills that you will learn can be applied to any area of your life, and to any vision.  You have what it takes within you – without long term dependence on a coach or on any product/service.  It excites me to empower you!! 

Leverage my knowledge, experience, and skills to decrease symptoms such as:

We will work together using a whole person approach in which: 

  • You will be heard.  Your story, your perspective, and your own insight and knowledge are vital to this process. 

  • You will learn the importance of self-care, setting boundaries, and listening to your own inner knowing. 

  • You will learn mindfulness and to notice the feedback your body provides. 

  • You will come to understand the unique impact that your gut-brain-immune axis has on everything. 

  • You will get the insight, feedback, support and strategies you need to enable your journey, and foster your independence. 

 

How my approach differs from conventional approaches: 

  • It is ‘functional’ because we address more than symptoms – we address the root of issues.  We take into account the gut-brain-immune axis. 

  • It is personalized because every person is unique.  Any plan, whether it be nutritional lifestyle, exercise/movement, or behavioral is a “ONE SIZE FITS ONE”!   

  • It leverages many tools for healing, such as stress reduction, nutrition, movement, play, and mindfulness. 

  • We work together to integrate behavioral change in small steps that create new, sustainable habits.

  • You will be held in safe space, as we take this journey together with empathy and compassion. 

 

Having the extra level of support that I can provide means more efficient and more effective progress.  It means wasting less time trying to parse through conflicting information and the ability to figure out how to make necessary shifts. It means getting individual attention to help you define strategies that work, strategies that you will be able to use for a lifetime.
